5/1 Shopping Trip - Part 2

I forgot most of my coupons at home today.  This is the second trip that I took to town.  I started at Walgreens, paid cash, and have misplaced my receipts.  I like knowing waht I have saved and will keep looking for the receipts.

At Walgreens, I purchased 2 Cottonelle toilet papers, 2 Right Guard Body Washes, 2 Head & Shoulders Shampoos, 2 Noxezema razors, and 3 4x7 mailers.  Each purchase was approximately $3.00 something.  I also left with $5.00 in RR rewards.  So basically, these items cost me $1 - $2.

For the toilet paper, I used the May Walgreens Book Coupon for -$1.00 off and 2 -$0.50 off coupons, dropping the paper to 2/$3.  I got back $2 RR, dropping the toilet papers to 2/$2,

The Right Guard Body wash was on sale at Walgreens for B1G1 free.  I used one of my B1G1 free coupons from the paper today, leaving only tax to pay for on the body wash.

The Head & Shoulders shampoo was on sale for 2/$8.  I used a B1G1 free coupon from 2 weeks ago, dropping my price to 2/$4.  I also received $2 RR, dropping the price to 2/$3, not bad for Head and Shoulders.

The Noxezema razors were a money maker this week.  They were on sale for $3.99 this week.  I had a -$2.00 off coupon making them $1.99.  I also received a $3 RR for this item, meaning that Walgreens paid me $1.01 for each of the razors that I purchased.

The 4 x 7 mailers were just "fillers". Walgreens has a strict 1 manufacturer coupon per item policy.  Not too bad, until you consider that they count RR as manufacturer coupons.  They were originally $0.99, with the incoupon ad $0.39.

I then headed to Target, where I bought diapers (not pictured).  Not a great deal, but worth mentioning.  I am brand loyal to Pampers, tough because Huggies does much better deals.  I bought 2 boxes of Cruisers at $19.51 a box.  They were also running a special where you received a $5 Target gift card if you purchased two.  I also used my Target P&G to get 2 free wipes.  I also bought 2 reach flosses.  Bottom line, I paid $39.51 for all and got a $5 gift card.  Not a great deal, but for Pampers not bad.

I then headed to Wal-Mart.  K-Mart has an advertised sale for Purina One Beyond dog food, 2/$6.  I happened to have 6 / -$2.00 off coupon.  I was able to price match and use my coupons to get each bag of dog food (3.5 lbs) for $1.00.  Six little bags is about the equivalent of one normal sized bag at our house, but still $6 isn't bad. I also purchased two gallons of milk and used my 2 / -1.00 off coupons.  My total at WM was 12.64, retail would have been $46.60.

I wrapped up at CVS where I probably did the best, also ran into a good friend and fellow couponer.  I purchased a Bic Shimmer Soliel razor refill pack, 2 Soft Scrub cleansers, 1Ivory soap three pack, and 2 Colgate Max Fresh toothpastes.

The razors I used my -$3.00 coupon from today's paper.  I also received $3 in ECB's making the refill $0.99. The soft scrub were on sale for $1.99.  I used 2 / -$1.50 coupons paying only $0.50 per item.  The Ivory soap was on sale for $0.99.  I used my -$1.00 off coupon to pay only tax on this item.  The Colgate MaxFresh was a money maker.  It was $2.77.  I had a -$1.00 off coupon from 2 weeks ago and received $2.77 ECB on this item making it $1.00 given to me to take the product out of the store.

My total was $11.81.  I used my $5.77 ECB from earlier and ended with a total of $6.27.  When I checked out I received $9.00 in ECB's!!!  Retail at CVS was $26.44.  Even as I am reviewing my receipt, my coupons did not print as the amounts that I presented for.  I do not know if CVS reduces coupons, but I plan on finding out.

What deals did you purchase this weekend?

Thanks.

Dusti
