Mother's Day Shopping Trip!!!

I was very excited for this weeks shopping trip.

I started off at Wal-Mart, where I figured the the selection would be better.  Also for price matching, the ad generally will state good for sizes between....  leaves the possibility to get a larger box.  CVX has Keloggs cereal for $1.97 a box. I looked through my coupons and was able to find coupons between $0.50 to $1.00 off a box.  I purchased 2 boxes of Rice Crispies, 2 boxes of Coco Rice Crispies, 2 boxes of Frosty Flakes, 2 boxes of Corn Flakes, and 2 boxes of Raisin Brand.  I paid a total of $13.70 or $1.37 per box.
Also Kellogg's is currently offering a MIR, or Mail in Rebate.  After completing the required form and sending the proof, fill out this form and receive a $10 debit MasterCard that can be used towards a gasoline purchase.  After receiving the rebate, this would make the cereal $0.37 per box!!!!

Next up was CVS.  I was really excited for this trip, so excited that I drug Chuck along with me.  CVS deals have limits that are "per card."  It is their way of keeping track of limits regardless of multiple transactions.  So I signed Chuck up for a card and made him come with.
CVS has B1G1 free for their 32 oz gatorade.  There is a limit of 8 per customer.  I used 4 B1G1 free coupons on each transactions.  CVS also has Sobe life water B1G1 free.  I had my $2.00 off five coupon from the Moments to Save insert last week.  I purchased six on each transaction.  I received 3 free from the CVS sale and another 1.18 free from my coupon.  BTW, we had never tried this product.  Chuck really likes the Pomegranate.  I love trying new products!!!!  Fig Newtons were on sale 2/$5.  I should warn that the containers are small even  though pictured large in the ad (should have tried to price match this one.)  I used my 2 $1.00 off coupons in the 5/8 SS add.  So I paid 2/$3.

Also at CVS, they had a really good make up deal.  I don't wear a lot of make up, but this one was too good to pass up.  I scanned each CVS card at the coupon printer.  I received 2 $3 off $10 purchase coupons.  I also had pulled out my Cover Girl coupons from the 5/1 inserts ($2.50 off 2).  I purchases a blush 4.59 and the CG lip gloss, can't remember the exact name and paid $6.00 something for it, like $6.49.  I used my $3 off CVS coupon and my $2.50 off CG coupon.  So my total was $5.48 and when I check out I received $3 ECB's on each transaction.  So I paid a net of $2.48 per make up item or $1.24 per item.

Walgreens was the last stop.  I love Walgreens, but they always find a way to pull so much money OOP, or out of pocket.  I planned my transactions down the to penny and was all ready to go, only to discover that they had started their sale out of one of the items... major pet peave of mine.  So, I improvised.  On my first transaction, I purchased two Colgate toothbrushes.  They were 2/$6 with $4 RR.  I wanted the RR's for my next transaction.  I also used 2 $0.75 off Colgate toothbrush coupons.  These were from the 4/17 or 5/1 inserts, I can't remember for sure.  So I paid $4.78 and received $4 in RR.

I then did the "diaper" transaction.  I purchased two packages of Pampers and one package of wipes.  I also purchased two "fillers". This week it was Walgreens candy for $0.49 a bag.  I used my 2/$1.50 off coupons for the diapers out of the 5/1 P&G insert and 1 $0.50 off wipes coupon out of the same insert.  I also used my Walgreens infant care book to take $2.00 off each package of diapers.  The diapers were 2/$18 and the wipes were $2.49.  My total was $23.31.  After my coupons and the Walgreens coupons, my new total was $15.81.  Then I used 1 RR from last week for $3 off and another RR from my previous transaction for $4 off.  This brought my total to $8.81.  I also received $3 RR for purchasing 2 pampers and a $5 RR for purchasing Pampers purchase of more than $20.  So OOP was $8.81 and I received $8 RR for a net of $0.81.  I would like to repeat this transaction.  However, if you use your $3 off RR on the purchase, it will not print another.  So I would have to spend another $3 OOP pocket.  I could throw a fit and try to get the $3 RR printed, but I try to be courteous.

I finished up at Walgreens with a couple of odd ball items.  They had Dove haircare for B1G1 free.  I needed a few things, so I used two of my printed $1.00 any dove items.  The two items were $4.49 a piece.  I bought two, received one for free, and paid $2.49 for the other or $1.25 per item.  Not rock bottom, but like I said I needed them now;)  I also bought a package of Kleenex on sale in the ad for $0.89 limit 3.

I do not have all of the receipts with me to put a spent vs. retail, but my percentage was very, very good this week.  I will update later today.

I hope all of your saving is going well.  Let me know if you spot a deal that I have missed!!!
