Shopping Trip on 5/5 was pretty much a nightmare.
Everything fine at Walgreens. Shop N Save was complicated. They were out of things. I had to change my plans, my second check out was a disaster.
I debated whether or not to go to Target (in Edwardsville). I decided to go ahead and stop. Getting off the exit, I hit water and lost control of my car. For the grace of God there was nobody in the other lane and once I regained control was able to continue on my way. Went to Target, found a really, really great deal. I was so excited about it that I went back out to my car for more coupons. I just took my purse and needed coupons back in, checked out, and realized just my purse and coupons was just that....aka no car keys.
No worries they and the spare were both securely locked in my car in the parking lot. Two hours later, my road side service has someone there to unlock my car.
I rushed home, hoping that the boys were not in bed. I would have called, but forgot my cell phone at home today.... I am thinking that I should have stayed under a rock.
Made it home, boys were still awake and I was thrilled to see them. I opened up the back of my car to unload the groceries and.... my free 2 liter of Sierra Mist rolls out, hits the ground and explodes. I had a Sierra Mist shower to celebrate the ending of my night.
I felt like the character that Felicia Huffman plays on Desperate Housewives. I could almost close my eyes and see a comedy including all of those episodes happening in one show.
Anyhow, Walgreens deal worked. Target Nivea lotion 13.5 oz size, I purchased for $0.53. The 8.5 oz size is available for $0.02. I bought as many as Target.com would allow me to print (2 per computer), so I bought $4. I spent $65 on groceries and saved 59% on the first trip and 54% on the second trip. This doesn't include the mark down for things that are on sale, but it is easy to reference b/c it is printed on the receipt.
I also met another lady who has a blog here locally and has a LOT more followers than me. I am interested to see the deals and information that she has to pass along!
